Volunteer opportunities for nurses and medical professionals during the COVID-19 response

April 7, 2020

Hello,

Thank you for expressing your interest in serving as a volunteer nurse/medical professional to support our community’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please complete the following Volunteer Onboarding steps as soon as possible:

  1. Complete the online Volunteer Sign-up Form
  2. Complete the Information Release Form to consent to a background check.  Return the form to me.
  3. Complete the Volunteer Agreement. Return the form to me.

Once we have received these required documents, the County will request your background check and verify your licenses. As soon as those processes are complete, we will be ready to proceed and put your volunteer services to work!

On a closing note, I know that many of you have many questions about volunteering, from duties and training to hours and logistics.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of firm answers to those questions given the nature of this rapidly evolving, complex, global situation. As we complete the volunteer onboarding process and determine how we can best partner together, I am happy to support you in getting answers to all your questions.  Please know that we have a tremendously talented group of professionals leading a robust community-wide response from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and we are honored that you are willing to share your skills and abilities with us in our efforts to protect the health and safety of our entire community.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the Volunteer Onboarding paperwork or process.

Thank you in advance,

Amy
