Our Western Carolina Medical Society Hiking Club meets the last Sunday of every month (weather and conditions permitting) to enjoy the great outdoors. Our guides from Carolina Nature Tours will lead the hikes and take the time to educate folks on the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Join Jennie Burke of Carolina Nature Tours for a 3.2 mile hike to Wintergreen Falls in Dupont State Forest.  We’ll be searching for early signs of spring and should see Trailing Arbutus, Robin’s Plantain, Pussytoes and several different species of violet.  As we approach the waterfall, there is a moderately challenging rock scramble, but the rest of the hike will be easy.
