2025 Asheville Chamber of Commerce Good Health, Good Business Award Winner
Dear WCMS community,
We are honored to share that the Western Carolina Medical Society has been awarded the Good Health Good Business Award from the Asheville Chamber of Commerce! This award recognizes a business that demonstrates service and exceptional leadership, which have improved the health of the Asheville area community. Award winners serve as an example for others in the community by actively supporting the health and wellness of their employees and the community.
This award celebrates the dedication of our team and the impact we strive to make every day:
- Supporting our staff with gym membership reimbursements
- Providing mental health care for physicians and PAs through our Healthy Healer Program
- Coordinating Project Access to connect uninsured patients with free specialty care
- Securing $400K in donated medical services
- Scheduling nearly 7,000 interpreter appointments across 38+ languages
- Donating 100 gas cards to help patients get to their appointments
- Supporting Hurricane Helene recovery with critical funds for medications, rent, and medical equipment
